A 60-year-old Odessa man was killed Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Midland County and two Midlanders were killed Tuesday morning in a separate crash.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 52-year-old Monahans man was traveling west on Business Interstate 20 in a Dodge Ram when he made a U-turn at SCR-1290 and was struck by Pedro Perez Garcia, who was traveling east on BI-20 in a GMC Envoy.

Garcia, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened just after 7 a.m. Monday.

The Monahans man was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital in stable condition.

According to the City of Midland, Kyle Lee Nettles, 28, and James Michael Butts, 25, died shortly before 7 a.m. Tuesday in the 7200 block of Briarwood.

Communications Manager Karisa Danley said Nettles was driving east in the westbound lane of Briarwood when his Ford Fusion collided with Butts’ westbound Toyota Camry.
