Odessa Rotary Club hands out Rotary Foundation Awards

Odessa Rotary Club members Rhonda Spykes and Ed Mendez were honored at the club’s December 6 meeting at Odessa College for their support of the Rotary Foundation. This world-wide non-profit foundation is supported solely by voluntary contributions that supports the efforts of Rotary International to achieve world understanding and peace through international humanitarian, educational, and cultural exchange programs.

Odessa Rotary Club Foundation Chairman David Austin and Club President Kim Ortega presented Ms. Spykes with her Paul Harris Fellow (Level 4) pin for her contributions to the Foundation over the years. And Mr. Mendez received his first Rotary Foundation pin for his efforts in growing the club’s roster over this past year. Each level represents a minimum contribution of $1,000 to the Foundation.
