Lobo athletes listed to ASC All-Conference Team

Sul Ross soccer players were recently listed on the American Southwest Conference All-Conference Team.

>> Sonrisa Natividad, All-Conference Second Tea, started all seven games for the Lobos as a defender and tied goalkeeper Alitzel Ybarra for a team-high 690 minutes played. It is the junior second time on the list after being named to the honorable mention in 2019.

>> Britney Berumen, All-Conference Second Team, started six of seven games on the season and led the Lobos in several offensive categories. The senior midfielder’s three goals, 22 shots, and 12 shots on goal were all team-highs. This is Berumen’s third time on the list in after being named an honorable mention in 2018 and to the third team in 2017.

>> Joanna Estrada, All-Conference Third Team, scored two goals this season on 15 shots with 12 on goal. Both goals for the sophomore midfielder wound up to be game-winners as the leads were never relinquished in a 2-1 win over Howard Payne and a 1-0 victory over Concordia.

>> Alitzel Ybarra, All-Conference Third Team, Ybarra started all seven games in goal and tied Natividad for 690 minutes played. The sophomore goalkeeper finished with a .91 goals against average per game with 42 saves and a .857 save percentage.

>> Amanda Acuna, Honorable Mention, started all seven games as a junior defender/midfielder. She played 680 minutes with one shot and one on goal.

>> Julia Gomez, Honorable Mention, started all seven games as a sophomore. She tallied two shots with one on goal in 664 minutes.

>> Nuvia Guillen, Honorable Mention, started all seven games in her junior season. The midfielder played 671 minutes, totaling seven shots with four on goal.

>> Jose Luis Originales, All-Conference Third Team, started all eight games played in his junior season. He led the Lobos with 714 minutes and tallied four shots with two on goal. As a defender, he helped Sully to a 1.56 goals against average per game. It is Originales’ third time on the list after being named to the honorable mention in 2019 and 2018.

>> Nana Prempeh, All-Conference Third Team, started all eight games in his sophomore season and led the team with three goals. The forward had a team-high 16 shots and was second in shots on goal with eight. Of his three goals, two were game-winners in a 1-0 win over Howard Payne and a 4-1 victory over McMurry.

>> Daniel Torres, Honorable Mention, started all eight games and was third on the team with 634 minutes played in his junior campaign. The midfielder tallied three shots on the season with two on goal.

>> Antonio Lozano, Honorable Mention, Lozano’s freshman season saw six games played and five starts. The defender played 452 minutes with one shot and an assist.

>> Arturo Madrid, Honorable Mention, started all eight games in his final season as a Lobo. He was second on the team with two goals on 14 shots. The midfielder led the team with nine on goal and had an assist.
