Yahlanda Robinson, 22, of Midland took the oath of enlistment for service in America’s Navy at Navy Talent Acquisition Group (NTAG) San Antonio headquarters. She will begin her career in the Aviation/Airman Professional Apprenticeship Career Track. “I just want to serve and be a role model for my daughter,” Robinson said, who is originally from Portland, Jamaica. The oath of enlistment was administered by Lt. Michael Wojdyla, officer-in-charge, Talent Acquisition Onboarding Center (TAOC) Alamo City. The Aviation/Airman Professional Apprenticeship Career Track (PACT) program option enables men and women to eventually qualify for one of several Navy ratings (skill specialties) through on-the-job airman training. NTAG San Antonio’s area of responsibility includes two TAOCs which manage more than 34 Navy Recruiting Stations and Navy Officer Recruiting Stations spread throughout 144,000 square miles of Central and South Texas territory.
