GOOD NEWS: American Advertising Federation announces induction of Kevin Dobbs to the Southwest Advertising Hall of Fame

AUSTIN The Southwest Advertising Hall of Fame announced Kevin Dobbs as one of the newest members of its 2023 class of inductees in a Thursday press release. Dobbs currently serves as the Executive Director of the American Advertising Federation’s Tenth District. He was recently inducted to the Hall of Fame in honor of his significant contributions to the advertising industry and his community.

The Southwest Advertising Hall of Fame is sponsored by the Tenth District of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), encompassing Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas. AAF-Austin hosted the induction ceremony recognizing the Kevin Dobbs and the 16th class of this Hall of Fame. The induction dinner was held on Friday, April 14, at the Austin Marriott South.

Kevin Dobbs is known as an advertising professional at Dobbs Printing Company in Odessa, where he was the third generation working as the preeminent printer in the Permian Basin, for his charitable work in his community and for his decades of service to the American Advertising Federation (AAF).

Dobbs has made an impact locally, regionally, and nationally in the AAF. He served as President of the Permian Basin AAF, Governor of the 10th District, Chair of the AAF Council of Governors and Chair of the AAF Central Region. For almost two decades he has served as Executive Director of the AAF 10th District. As a leader, Dobbs has always worked to ensure the highest standards of professionalism for the industry.

The Southwest Advertising Hall of Fame was created by the Tenth District of the American Advertising Federation to honor men and women from the region who have distinguished themselves. Inductees need not be a member of the AAF Tenth District. Inductees will automatically be nominated for the National Advertising Hall of Fame as they become eligible.

“We are excited to have revealed the 2023 class of inductees in our annual induction ceremony. With these distinguished honorees, the Southwest Advertising Hall of Fame is continuing to grow a roster of men and women who have made a significant impact on the advertising industry and their communities,” said Randy Kemp, co-chair of the Southwest Advertising Hall of Fame.
