Bring your blankets and lawn chairs this Friday, Sept. 1, to the next First Friday Series performance at Odessa College Downtown. Enjoy the music of New Classics from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The OC Downtown campus is located on the southwest corner of 4th and Jackson, and everyone is invited to this free and family-friendly concert.
Food trucks will be available for concertgoers. No pets, alcohol, smoking, or glass containers will be allowed inside the OC Downtown campus grounds.
The Odessa Arts website describes Steven Silva and Erik Madrid’s music group New Classics as “a six-member collaboration of local musicians specializing in the performance of Jazz standards, Pop, and Funk. They also bring their own catalog of original music to their shows to offer a unique experience to each audience at every performance,” a news release said.
First Friday ODTX is a monthly gathering every first Friday of the month put on by Odessa Arts and Downtown Odessa and features live music, art, and activities for the enjoyment of residents and visitors of downtown Odessa.
