A National Fentanyl Awareness Day is scheduled Tuesday, May 9, with the Odessa East Rotary Club hosting experts to speak on the opioid crisis at 6 p.m. at the MCH Center for Health and Wellness, 8050 E. Highway 191, classrooms A and B.
The event will include information for parents and students about how drug overdose is the third leading cause of death among teens today. Facing Emergency Narcotics in Texas (FENT) will educate on the dangers of fentanyl and the reality of overdose.
