ALPINE Alpine’s Gallery Night (AGN) has announced the return of its annual Spirits of the West Festival. This is a uniquely Far West Texas celebration of Texas’ best of wineries, distilleries, breweries together with top Texas Beef producers, chefs, artists and community business owners. The event is scheduled April 19-20 in Downtown Alpine, at the Brewster County Courthouse Campus 201 W Ave E, Alpine.
Live music will play all day open to close. Musicians include long-time West Texas favorites headliners Joe King Carrasco, and Los Pinche Gringos.
The street festival will take place at a larger, expanded location, at the Brewster County courthouse, on the spacious courthouse lawn, and on 6th Street and Sul Ross Ave north and east of the courthouse.
This two-day festival, presented by Chateau Wright Winery begins Friday April 19, 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with a street festival of dozens of Texas wineries, distilleries, breweries and chefs. Live music acts Friday night to include Alpine’s own The Swifts, Feline Fox, and Texas original headliner Joe King Carrasco.
Day two, Saturday, April 20, opens at 11:00 a.m. with a free Bloody Mary bar, presented by Alpine’s Gallery Night. Expect a full day of wine, and spirits tastings, art vendors, food booths, and grill chefs. Live music to include Angel and The Badmen, The Scott Walker Band, Dawn & Hawkes, Doug Moreland, Anthony Ray Wright, and West Texas fan-favorite headliner Los Pinche Gringos.
Twin Peaks Liquors will host two Wine Tasting Classes with wine makers from Mission Valley Wines.
Wine and spirit makers, and brewers across Texas will share their experiences in growing, distilling, and making with tastings and food pairing.
AGN Executive Director, Lance Johnson expressed his excitement for 2024 Spirits Festival, “We are excited to bring back Spirits bigger and better this year! Year over year, we’ve grown the festival in both participation and attendance. The courthouse lawn and surrounding streets will give us more space for more vendors, food and fun. We’re excited to have shaded lawn areas to hang out, eat, drink and dance all day!” He continued, “Spirits of the West Fest is truly unique, authentically Far West Texas experience to the best of Texas.”
