Summer research opportunity

UTPB invites students from any junior college within a 400-mile radius to apply for a paid summer research experience. If you are interested in real energy and environmental problems, this opportunity is for you. You will work closely with faculty mentors and participate in professional development workshops, training sessions, and field trips, a Facebook post said. The research program is 10 weeks long, beginning June 1 on UTPB’s campus. Students will receive a $600 per week stipend plus meals allowance, on-campus housing (if needed), and travel to present at a conference. The deadline to apply is Jan. 16.
