COLONIAL DAMES
The Margaret Smith Vivion Chapter of the Colonial Dames of the XVII Century met Jan. 27 hosted by President Eleanor Edmondson. Chaplain Carolyn Weatherby led the opening prayer, Ginger Marler led the pledges. Tommie Arnold gave the treasurer’s report.
Members will decide on projects to fund at the annual meeting in June. Pat Tausch read the minutes of the last meeting and corrections were made. Edmondson read a Thank You letter for the Christmas gifts taken to Big Spring.
The new slate of officers for the 2017-2019 year was read and voted on. Installation will be held in April in Andrews.
A program on Jamestown was presented by Edmondson. After a brief introduction, members viewed a documentary entitled “Jamestown: The Buried Truth.” Refreshments with a “snowman” theme were enjoyed by all.
