CANYON The UTPB women’s basketball team fell into a hole early and never climbed out, losing 72-36 to No. 25 West Texas A&M in Lone Star Conference play Tuesday night at West Texas A&M.
Khali Pippins-Tryon led the Falcons (6-15 overall, 4-9 conference) with 11 points and six rebounds.
Lexy Hightower led the Lady Buffs (17-4, 9-4) with a game-high 20 points, with Tiana Parker and Deleyah Harris each finishing with 10 points in the victory.
West Texas A&M dominated the first quarter, outscoring the Falcons 20-4 in the first 10 minutes to take control and never look back.
