The Odessa High tennis team kicked its season into full swing with three matches at the annual Basin Brawl Friday and Saturday.
After a first-round bye, the Bronchos faced Hobbs (N.M.), El Paso Franklin and Midland Christian at the Bob Lewis Tennis Center, finishing 1-2 for the event.
El Paso Franklin defeated Odessa High 15-1, while the Bronchos rebounded for a 14-5 victory against Hobbs before dropping a 13-6 decision to Midland Christian.
The Bronchos’ top players, Nithin Reddy and Olivia Cabral both went 4-2 in the event, with Reddy a perfect 3-0 in singles.
