Wedding-Day Weather

About 56 degrees and windy in Lubbock that morning at 9:00 a.m.

Sunny and nice in Odessa that afternoon and evening.

Number of Guests

An intimate wedding in the temple. Family and very close friends. A reception followed that night in Odessa, about 75 attended there. A second reception followed a week later, May 18 in Saratoga Springs Utah.

Christmas Red, Black, Silver, and Yellow
Christmas lighting only to set the mood

Red roses, with bright yellow flowers mixed in, tied with silver bows and ribbons. The bride's bouquet also had baby's breath intermixed with the roses and yellow buds.

Favorite Detail

The flower girl didn't leave the bride's side but stayed with the bride and groom. Too cute. The bride also sang to the groom, bringing him to tears.

First Dance

You're All I Want by Life House Night

Ham, green beans, mashed potatoes, salad, rolls.

Italian cream cake decorated with red roses, trimmed with black and yellow ribbon and topped with a Precious Moments bride and groom that Virginia had saved since early teenage years.
Three tiered...
The groom's cake was a cinnamon chocolate cake decorated as a soccer ball-his favorite sport!

Bubbles at each plate with silver ribbons
