WOMEN’S COLLEGE BASKETBALL: UTPB struggles in loss to Angelo State

SAN ANGELO The UTPB women’s basketball team suffered a 95-52 loss at the hands of Angelo State Saturday afternoon on the road.

The Rambelles (20-4 overall, 15-3 in the Lone Star Conference) broke the game open in the second quarter, outscoring the Falcons 35-12 to help put the game out of reach, taking a 52-20 halftime lead.

Marquita Daniels scored a game-high 25 points to lead Angelo State, with Dezirae Hampton adding 19 in the victory.

Lemia Ntor-Ue scored 16 points to lead UTPB (4-22, 1-17), with Sarah Bersang finishing with 11 in the loss.
