WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: Texas A&M-Kingsville uses fourth quarter rally to defeat UTPB

KINGSVILLE The UTPB women’s basketball team held a one-point lead at the end of the third quarter, but Texas A&M-Kingsville finished strong for a 63-59 victory in a Lone Star Conference contest Saturday.

Briana Caro supplied a double-double with 23 points and 13 rebounds for the Falcons (7-18 overall, 3-15 Lone Star). Niva Taito added nine points, four rebounds and three assists, while Heather Crittenden chipped in eight points.

For the Javelinas (12-12, 7-11), Kaylin Roher and Tee Moore each had 16 points. Angelica Wilson came off the bench for 12 rebounds and 10 points.
