HOBBS, N.M. The No. 2-ranked Odessa College women’s basketball college team extended its win streak and perfect season into the new year with 67-47 victory over the University of Chihuahua during the Thunderbird Shootout Tuesday.
The Lady Wranglers (13-0) struggled from the field at 25 of 77 (32 percent). Mariah McCully supplied a double-double with 16 rebounds and 10 points. The freshman guard from Grand Rapids (Mich.) also dished out four assists.
Moa Lundqvist scored a team-high 14 points for Odessa College. Leticia Soares added 11 and Sadie Russell came off the bench for 10.
