West Odessa pursuit leads to one arrest

A 25-year-old man was arrested after he led Ector County Sheriff’s Office deputies on a 10-minute vehicle pursuit in West Odessa, a news release detailed.
Logan Herdon was charged with evading in a motor vehicle, a state jail felony, and resisting arrest, class A misdemeanor.
The incident happened at 1:1m. Friday near the intersection of Cavalry Street and Knox Avenue.
An ECSO deputy attempted to stop Herdon for a traffic violation, but he evaded the deputy during a 10-minute pursuit, the release stated. The vehicle stopped near the intersection of Cavalry Street and Knox Avenue where Herdon ran on foot from deputies.
Herdon crossed an open field, climbed into a water tank and refused to comply with deputy orders, the release detailed. ECSO deployed its K-9 unit, but he still resisted. Pepper spray, bean bags and a tazer were used to take Herdon into custody.
Herdon was transported to Medical Center Hospital for treatment and upon release he was transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
