Two suspects arrested in Stanton homicide case

 A Midland resident was one of two suspects the Stanton Police Department and other authorities arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 44-year-old Midland man.
 Tipsters led Stanton police and other authorities to Seminole where follow-up interviews with multiple persons resulted in the arrest of 31-year-old Timothy Villanueva, of Seminole, and 25-year-old Noemy Fierro, of Midland, on charges of murder tied to the slaying of Lorenzo Gardea, Stanton Police said.
 Gardea was found in his vehicle with unspecified signs of trauma Jan. 19 in the 200 block of Second Street in Stanton. News about the police outreach for anyone with information about the case was released Tuesday.
 Villanueva was being held Wednesday at the Gaines County Jail and is awaiting transfer to the Martin County Jail. Fierro was being held at the Martin County Jail on $250,000 bond.
