MIDLAND The Midland RockHounds only mustered one run of offense to fall to the Springfield Cardinals 2-1 Tuesday night at Security Bank Ballpark.
Grant Holmes was tagged with the loss on the mound for Midland (3-3) while Springfield’s Jack Flaherty got the win. Springfield catcher Gabriel Lino had both of the extra-base hits in the game.
The RockHounds are off today but return to action Thursday for their first road series of the season against the Tulsa Drillers.
Midland has its next home series from April 20 to April 23 against the San Antonio Missions.
