During national signing day, Permian senior Tyson Banks inked his letter of intent to play baseball at Indiana University South Bend on Wednesday at Permian High School.
The Titans — an NAIA program that plays in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference — posted a 21-30 record during the 2016 season.
Banks, who played baseball at Midland Christian last year, helped the Mustangs to a 29-11-1 record, losing to Houston Second Baptist in the TAPPS 4A state championship game.
The 6-foot-3 senior right-handed pitcher returned to Permian in the fall and started at outside linebacker for the Panthers football team.
