April 7 Odessa police arrested 20-year-old Rafael Damasceno Ricciardi and charged him with fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, a state jail felony; and evading arrest and resisting arrest, both of which are class A misdemeanors. While officers were working off-duty at 1:25 a.m. April 7 at a local bar located in the 4500 block of East University Boulevard, a man attempted to enter the bar but was denied entrance due to him being under age. The man left, but then returned a few minutes later and presented a Texas driver’s license that was clearly issued to someone else. An off-duty officer then approached the man and told him to turn around and place his hands behind his back. The suspect, later identified as Ricciardi, physically resisted arrest before evading the officer on foot. Ricciardi was eventually caught and placed into custody. Ricciardi, 51 Falcons Nest Circle, was released April 7 from the Ector County Detention Center on $9,500 bond.
