Don’t forget Ector County property taxes are due by Jan. 31 and will be subject to penalty and interest if not postmarked by that date.
Residents should have received a tax bill if they own real estate and the mortgage company doesn’t pay taxes; if they owned a business on Jan. 1, 2016, and had assets; and/ or owned a working or royalty interest in mineral property.
The taxes are due and collectable even if a statement was not received. If a person did not receive a statement, they are encouraged to call 332-6834 or visit the Ector County Appraisal District at 1301 E. Eighth St.
