Person-of-interest sought in photo taking case

A “person of interest” is being sought in connection to last week’s report of a man caught using his cell phone to take snapshots up a 14-year-old girl’s skirt at Dollar General store, a police spokesman said Tuesday.
The person is not a suspect but Odessa Police Department authorities want to question him about the report made Thursday of man captured on video surveillance taking the pictures of the teen with the camera facing upwards, the OPD spokesman Cpl. Steve LeSueur said.
LeSueur said the suspect’s name will not be released as he is only someone police want to question.
The girl heard a shutter sound and turned around to find a man dressed with a work shirt with a name label reading “Jesus” holding the cell phone. The girl’s parents confronted the suspect and he bolted out of the store, 120 W. Clements St., heading toward southbound Grant Avenue police said.
Anyone with information about the incident can call the OPD at 432-333-3641 or Odessa Crime Stoppers at 432-333-8477
