Feb. 27 Odessa police arrested 46-year-old Perry Davis and charged him with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), a state jail felony; and for an outstanding felony warrant for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon (failure to appear), a third-degree felony. Officers pulled over a beige 2004 Cadillac Escalade, driven by Davis, in the 4000 block of North JBS Parkway at 8 a.m. Feb. 27. Investigation revealed that Davis had an outstanding felony warrant. Officers searched Davis and found a bag of methamphetamine in his front right pocket. Davis, 4601 Leisure Drive, Midland, was being held March 2 at the Ector County Detention Center on $37,500 bond.
