Noel Elementary School, 2200 Newcomb Drive, entered into shelter-in-place around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday for approximately 20 minutes as a precaution from an Odessa Police Department report.
The students were never in danger. Ector County Independent School District police responded to the campus, also as a precaution, and cleared the campus to resume normal activity, a district Facebook post said. Activity during shelter-in-place is normal with the exception for the fact there is no outdoor activity.
