Michael Chester

Jan. 25 Odessa police arrested 31-year-old Michael Chester for an outstanding felony warrant for theft by deception, a state jail felony, on Jan. 25. A theft was reported to the Odessa Police Department on Jan. 10. Investigation revealed that Chester advertised a 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle for sale on Craig’s List. Chester sold the motorcycle to the victim for $6,000 on Oct. 11, 2016. The motorcycle was repossessed by WTAR on Nov. 7, 2016, while it was in possession of the victim. The motorcycle had a lien with Harley Davidson Corporation. Chester admitted to detectives via telephone that he sold the motorcycle to the victim for profit without disclosing the lien. Detectives obtained a theft by deception warrant for Chester, who was charged and arrested accordingly. Chester, 717 E. 97th St., was released Jan. 26 from the Ector County Detention Center on $15,000 bond.
