MEN’S COLLEGE BASKETBALL: UTPB survives Western New Mexico

SILVER CITY, N.M. The UTPB men’s basketball team survived a late comeback attempt by Western New Mexico in a 105-99 win Thursday night at Drag’s Court.
The Falcons (11-9 overall, 4-6 conference) led 48-37 at the half but were outscored 62-57 in the second half.
The Mustangs (4-13, 1-9) remain at the bottom of the Lone Star Conference Standings while UTPB sit in eighth place.
The Falcons were led by Jacob Ledoux in scoring with a game-high 36 points, going 15-21 from the field. Isaiah Hammons was second with 18 points on the night, 16 of them coming from thre free throw line.
Western New Mexico was led by 21 points off the bench from Davis Wade. Willie McCray added 14 points for the Mustangs.
