March 22 Odessa police arrested 20-year-old Matthew Brian Roe and charged him with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), a state jail felony. Officers pulled over a beige 1996 Oldsmobile in the area of University Boulevard and Eisenhower Road at 3:19 p.m. March 22. The front passenger of the vehicle was identified as Roe. K9 “Rambo” conducted an open air sniff and alerted on the vehicle. Police searched the vehicle and found several bags of methamphetamine on the floorboard next to where Roe had been sitting. Roe, 1401 Westbrook Ave., was being held March 24 at the Ector County Detention Center on $7,500 bond.
