Man arrested on charges of assaulting cousin, 15, OPD says

A man was arrested last week on suspicion of assaulting his 15-year-old cousin during a violent argument, the third time he reportedly was involved in a family violence incident.
Police arrested 20-year-old Alexander Delgado at 11:45 a.m. Saturday on charges of assault family violence with prior convictions, a third degree felony and resisting arrest. Officers with the Odessa Police Department were dispatched to a location in the 500 block of Amburgey Avenue to check on a report of a domestic disturbance.
Officers learned that Delgado reportedly grabbed his teenage cousin by her arm during an argument, and left her with multiple red marks on her right arm and scratch marks on her right hand, the OPD reported.
Delgado refused to comply with officers commands and pulled away with his arms under his body and continued to resist arrest, according to the OPD.
