Lisa Juarez-Villa

March 9 Odessa police arrested 28-year-old Lisa Juarez-Villa, also known as Lisa Carrasco, and charged her with endangering a child, a state jail felony; and for five outstanding misdemeanor warrants. Officers responded at 1:25 p.m. March 9 to Seventh Street and McCall Place in reference to a small child who was found unattended. Police made contact with two complainants who told them they saw a small girl walking in the middle of the roadway on Seventh Street and traveling toward the intersection of Grandview Avenue. Both complainants stopped their vehicles in the roadway to prevent the child from entering the intersection. The complainants further advised that about seven to 10 minutes later, they saw a woman walk out of a residence located in the 1900 block of East Seventh Street. The woman, later identified as Juarez-Villa, told the complainants that she was babysitting the three-year-old girl, while also watching her own four children. Juarez-Villa was charged and arrested accordingly. The child was released to her mother after the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services was notified. Juarez-Villa, 3400 Winfield Ave., was released March 10 from the Ector County Detention Center on $7,500 bond.
