Good works do not guarantee eternal salvation. Eternal salvation in heaven is a gift of God that comes to those who believe in Jesus Christ, his sacrifice on the cross and his resurrection.
Good works are blessed by God. Every person who shows an act of kindness or love to another person will receive God’s blessing.
Bible scripture throughout encourages good works. In Malachi 3:10 God promises to those who bring tithes to the storehouse to “open the windows of heaven and pour out such blessings that there will not be room enough to receive it.”
“God’s way for you to obtain prosperity is to take the resources he has blessed you with and use them to bless others” (Matthew 25:40). “Give and it will be given to you.”
