March 11 Odessa police arrested 18-year-old Jorge Reyes Ordonez and charged him with theft of property, a state jail felony, on March 11. Officers responded to Walgreens, 2161 E. 42nd St., in reference to a theft on March 2. Police made contact with Walgreens personnel, who told them they needed to file a theft report. Investigation revealed that between December of 2016 and March of 2017, a former employee, identified as Reyes Ordonez, stole about $4,700 from the store. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, detectives obtained a theft warrant for Reyes Ordonez. Reyes Ordonez, 600 Vassar Road, was being held March 21 at the Ector County Detention Center on $3,500 bond.
