HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: Permian allows 14 hits in loss to Midland High

The Midland High baseball team supplied 14 hits during a gutsy District 2-6A contest for an 11-1 victory over Permian on Tuesday at McCanlies Field.

Chris Sims finished with two hits — which included a home run — and three RBIs for the Bulldogs (11-12 overall, 5-3 District 2-6A). Tyler Wade pitched a complete game and allowed one run on seven hits. The sophomore right-handed pitcher struck out four.

For the Panthers (6-16-1, 1-7), Taylor Sullivan supplied an RBI single in the bottom of the fourth inning for the team’s lone run.
