LUBBOCK The Odessa High baseball team closed out the opening day of the First Bank Classic with an 8-2 victory over Lubbock Estacado and a 6-4 loss to El Paso Socorro on Thursday.
In the opener, Rowdy Abalos threw a complete game for the Bronchos (8-5). Robert Morales and Elijah Barrera each supplied doubles, while Tony Carrasco posted a triple. Odessa High’s Jacob Munoz finished with a double, a triple, one RBI and two runs scored in the loss to the Bulldogs.
The Bronchos continue their the tournament with Lubbock-Cooper at 1 p.m. today and El Paso Americas at 4 p.m.
