Odessa College photography students and faculty recently attended the reception, gallery talk, and awards presentation of the Annual High and Dry Exhibition at the International Cultural Center on the campus of Texas Tech University. OC Photography students Michelle Baggett, Devyn Bownds, Jackelyn Bracamontes, Natalie Casas, Vanessa Lara, Jairo Martinez, along with three faculty members, Kirk Williams, Beckwith Thompson and Steve Goff were chosen by Juror Amy Holmes George to be in the exhibition. “We are extremely proud and excited that 9 of the 55 artists and 15 of the 75 images selected are OC students and faculty,” said photography professor Steve Goff. Now in its 16th year, this juried exhibition attracts images by photographers from across the U.S. For this year’s exhibit, the photographers were asked to respond to some aspect of life in an arid or a semiarid region of our planet.
