ABILENE After the first round of the District 2-6A tournament at Diamondback Golf Club, Permian sits in second place.
The Lady Panthers (335) sit seven strokes back of first-place Wolfforth Frenship (328). Odessa High (356) is in fifth place after one round. Permian II (427) is in ninth place.
Wolfforth Frenship’s Haley Vargas (69) leads the pack individually followed by Midland Lee’s Rebecca Reed and Permian’s Briana Venegas (72), who are tied for second place.
The second round takes place today again in Abilene.
