No one was injured as Odessa Fire/Rescue firefighters put out a fire in an uninhabited house Tuesday evening at 5908 Benefield Avenue. Bystanders, who asked not to be identified, indicated they were in town for the homeowner’s funeral. The structure was heavily damaged by the fire. Odessa Fire/Rescue responded with two tanker trucks, two engines, an ambulance, Batallion Chief and Division Chief.
