Jan. 28 Odessa police arrested 53-year-old Federico Caballero and charged him with possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), a state jail felony. Officers responded at 3 p.m. Jan. 28 to 7-Eleven, 2712 E. Eighth St., about a trespassing violation. Police saw a man matching the suspect’s description, identified as Caballero. The store clerk told officers Caballero had been arguing and refused to leave the store. Investigation revealed Caballero had a previous history for public intoxication, robbery, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Caballero was found to be in possession of multiple crack rocks. Caballero, 802 E. 14th St., was being held Feb. 3 at the Ector County Detention Center on $10,000 bond.
