April 8 Odessa police arrested 47-year-old Faustino Ramos and charged him with driving while intoxicated, third or more, a third-degree felony; and driving while license Invalid with a prior conviction and no proof of insurance with a prior conviction, both of which are class B misdemeanors. Officers pulled over a white Chrysler Fifth Avenue, driven by Ramos, in the 1400 block of South Crane Avenue at 9:05 p.m. April 8. Police made contact with Ramos and could smell an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from him. Ramos failed field sobriety tests. Investigation revealed Ramos had two prior convictions for driving while intoxicated, a prior conviction for driving while license invalid and a prior conviction for no proof of insurance. Ramos, 1312 S. Alleghaney Ave., was being held April 11 at the Ector County Detention Center on $16,000 bond.
