These are the food inspection scores for Feb. 23 through Feb. 28 performed by the Ector County Health Department. Violations dock points, with a perfect score starting at 100.
Violations of food temperature/time requirements are five points each; violations of personnel, handling of food and food and water source requirements are four points each; and violations of facility and equipment requirements are three points each, which establishments have 10 days to correct.
A score of 70 or less requires the immediate shutdown of the restaurant until the violations are corrected and a new inspection is done. Closure is subject to corrective action being made onsite.
The Ector County Health Department inspects all restaurants, schools and assisted living facilities four times a year and all retail establishments, bars and sexually orientated businesses twice a year.
