ECSO searching for person of interest in stabbing death

The Ector County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a person of interest after a fatal stabbing at a bar killed one man and injured another.

ECSO released surveillance photos from an incident that occurred Dec. 8 at the Sports Bar of the person of interest on its Facebook page at tinyurl.com/yahp66lc. The sheriff’s office said the man is a potential witness to the stabbing incident.

On Dec. 8, ECSO deputies responded to a stabbing report at 5850 University Blvd, the release stated. Deputies found two males subjects had been stabbed inside the restroom at the Sports Bar.

Jose Angel Inzunza Caldera, 19, died after being transported to Medical Center Hospital, the release stated. Billy Ivan Dominguez Minguera, 40, was transported to MCH by private vehicle where he was treated and released.

The OA previously reported David Martinez Silvas, 35, was arrested Dec. 9 with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony. Silvas had one bond totaling $20,000 and was bailed out the same day. Jail records show.
