MIDLAND The UTPB men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams closed out their regular season by competing in a dual meet against Southwestern University Saturday at the COM Aquatics in Midland.
The UTPB men defeated Southwestern University, finishing with 144.5 total points while Southwestern finished with 81.5. The Southwestern University women beat UTPB, compiling 122 points while the Falcons had 88.
Matt Hayward earned a win for the Falcon men in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of one minute and 46.76 seconds. Damis Resende was first in the men’s 100-yard backstroke with a time of 54.57.
For the UTPB women, Sarah Waldren took first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.73 while Claire Balmer was first in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 12:21.63.
