COLLEGE SOFTBALL: Lady Wranglers split

LUBBOCK The Odessa College softball team had an up-and-down day at the Region V Tourmament Saturday at Lubbock-Cooper High School.
The tournament was delayed a day because of rain and then moved from Lubbock Christian University after the field became unplayable.
The Lady Wranglers defeated Western Texas College 10-2 in their first game of the tournament, with Becca Duran homering twice and driving in four runs to lead the offense.
Kaitlyn Reinecke finished with three hits, three runs scored and one RBI in the victory.
In the second game, Clarendon College was able to earn a 10-7 comeback victory, scoring three runs in both the fifth and sixth innings to move to the winner’s bracket final.
The Lady Wranglers (30-21) dropped into the consolation brackets and will face El Paso Community College to try and stay alive in the tournament.
