COLLEGE SOFTBALL: Lady Wranglers finish off four-game sweep of Western Texas College

SNYDER The Odessa College softball team broke out the bats in a big way Saturday to complete a four-game sweep of Western Texas College in WJCAC play.
Odessa College (25-20 overall, 16-8 conference) won the first game 15-7 in five innings and pulled away for a 5-1 victory in Game 2.
In the first game, the Lady Wranglers got off to a fast start by scoring seven runs in both the second and third innings.
Becca Duran played a big part of that surge, finishing the first game 3 for 4 with two home runs and six RBIs. Madison Zaccardo also homered.
It took a little bit longer for Odessa College to get going in the second game, but a four-run fifth inning proved to be the difference.
Duran and Zaccardo both homered in that game, as well, to help Odessa College offensively.
Freshman pitcher Cori Turner allowed just one run on six hits in the second game to earn the win.
