COLLEGE GOLF: Odessa College wraps up NJCAA Championships

MELBOURNE, FLA. The Odessa College men’s golf team finished in a tie for ninth with Wallace State (Ala.) Community College at 10-over-par as play wrapped up at the NJCAA Division I Men’s National Championship at Duran Golf Club Friday.

The Wranglers were led by Bryce Waters, who shot a final round 76 to finish 2-under-par to finish in a tie for 16th with three other players. Tripp Wall also earned a Top-20 finish after four rounds.

Central Alabama Community College (-35) pulled away from Indian Hills (Iowa) Community College by 13 shots to win the national title.

Callum Bruce (69-69-67-66—271) of Midland College shot the low round of the day and matched the low round of the tournament Friday to won the individual title by five shots.
