The Odessa College baseball team secured an 11-6 win over Midland College in a nonconference game Tuesday night at Wrangler Field.
The Wranglers (25-9 overall) took the lead for good in the fourth inning when a Midland College error allowed two runs to score. The Wranglers put the game away with four runs in the sixth. getting an RBI single from Enrique Serrano, a sacrifice fly by Myles Jefferson and atwo-run single by Bryce Foutz.
Ivan Melendez, who homered in the third, went 2 for 2. Harry Fullerton, who doubled, was 2 for 3. Both drove in two runs.
Midland College’s Jordan Billups hit for the cycle, going 4 for 4 with three RBIs to lead the Chaparrals (21-11).
Jorge Trevino, who pitched a perfect sixth inning, was credited with the win. Odessa College used eight pitchers in the game.
Chandler Eaton was charged with four runs on eight hits over two innings to take the loss for Midland College.
