The UTPB baseball team erased a three-run deficit to earn a 4-3 victory against University of the Southwest Tuesday at Roden Field.
The Mustangs took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning before the Falcons responded by scoring two runs in the bottom of the second inning to cut their deficit to one.
After several scoreless innings, UTPB scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to take the lead and hang on for the win.
The Falcons (5-2 overall) had five hits and no errors while the Mustangs (4-5) had six hits and two errors.
UTPB’s Jake Rohde (1-0) earned the victory, with Ben Tingen (0-1) taking the loss.
