Jan. 10 Odessa police arrested 41-year-old Bobby Houston and charged him with evading arrest with a vehicle, a third-degree felony; and possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), a second-degree felony. Police also arrested 34-year-old Rodjrick Williams and charged him with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, a third-degree felony. Officers attempted to pull over a white Kia at Maple Avenue and Monclair Avenue on Jan. 10, but the driver refused to stop and actively evaded police after they activated their emergency lights. The vehicle, driven by Houston, eventually pulled over in the 2700 block of Pagewood Avenue. The front passenger of the vehicle was identified as Williams. Officers found Houston to be in possession of a bag of cocaine (4.5 grams). Williams, a convicted felon, was found to be in possession of a 9mm Jimenez Arms handgun. Houston, 2724 Pagewood Ave., was being held Jan. 12 at the Ector County Detention Center on $85,000 bond. Williams, 302 E. Elliott Ave., was being held Jan. 12 at the Ector County Detention Center on $35,000 bond.
