Basilio Madrid

March 29 Odessa police arrested 22-year-old Basilio Madrid for an outstanding felony warrant for burglary of a habitation, a second-degree felony. Officers pulled over a gray 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse, driven by Madrid, in the 1100 block of West Eighth Street at 8:30 a.m. March 29. Police made contact with Madrid and investigation revealed he had a felony warrant for burglary of a habitation. A residential burglary in the 2300 block of Park Boulevard was reported to the Odessa Police Department at 10:37 p.m. March 23. The complainant reported that one of the items stolen from their residence was a blue laptop computer. Investigation revealed that the laptop had been pawned at EZ Pawn, 917 N. Grandview Ave., by a Basilio Madrid. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, detectives obtained a warrant for Madrid. Madrid, 1613 W. 18th St., was being held March 31 at the Ector County Detention Center on $25,000 bond.
