Andres Urbina Jr., Jazmin Ramon

March 22 Odessa police arrested 35-year-old Andres Urbina Jr. and charged him with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, a third-degree felony; and theft of a firearm, a state jail felony. Police also arrested 20-year-old Jazmin Ramon and charged her with endangering a child and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), both of which are state jail felonies. While executing a search warrant in the 1900 block of East Sixth Street at 5 p.m. March 22, detectives made contact with a man, identified as Urbina, and a woman, identified as Ramon. Urbina was found to be in possession of a .40 Cal Springfield pistol. Investigation revealed that the pistol had been reported stolen out of Midland. Further investigation revealed that Urbina was a convicted felon. Officers searched the residence and found about 0.8 grams of methamphetamine inside of a plastic drawer. The methamphetamine was found within immediate reach of Ramon’s one-year-old son. Urbina, 2500 Stoner Road, was being held March 24 at the Ector County Detention Center without bond. Ramon, 1912 E. Sixth St., was being held March 24 at the Ector County Detention Center on two $15,000 bonds.
